Franklin Land Trust and Hilltown Land Trust will hold an evening workshop on bumble bees, on Wednesday June 28th at the Bullitt Reservation in Ashfield from 5:30-7:30pm.

Rob Gegear from Worcester Polytechnic Institute will share his research on the startling decline of bumble bees, and some new technology that will allow you to help these important pollinators survive and thrive!

Participants will learn about a new smartphone app called “Bee-cology.” Naturalists of any age or experience level can use “Bee-cology” to participate in this citizen science project geared towards monitoring and protecting bumble bees. This exciting new app will be available for download soon!

Light refreshments will be provided. Come prepared to be outdoors!
