Chapter 132 Workshop for Licensed Timber Harvesters

The Department of Conservation & Recreation’s Service Forestry Program will hold a workshop for licensed timber harvesters on Chapter 132 Forest Cutting Practices regulations at MFA’s Taylor Forest Tree Farm on Hawley Road in Ashfield on May 24th from noon to 3 pm.

Licensed harvesters are required to take 9 hours of continuing education every three years to maintain their license, including 3 hours on Massachusetts forestry laws and regulations.  Attending one of the DCR workshops will meet the 3 hour forestry laws and regulations requirement.

The May 24^th workshop Will cover wildlife management, forest cutting plans, wetland ID and BMPs.
