Spectacular Use of Wood at UMass Design Building

Halfmoon Education will be holding a Engineered Lumber Design & Construction seminar at the Courtyard Marriot in Natick on March 23rd from 8 am to 4:30 p.m.

The seminar, presented by Patrick Conlon PE on Conlon Engineering, LLC, will give participants training in engineered lumber products, both structural and non-structural, review design values for bending and compression members, discuss applications and design values for glued laminated timber and pre-fabricated wood I-joists, evaluate structural composite lumber and wood structural panels, identify appropriate connectors and fasteners, and assess materials and techniques for roof and floor framing.

Patrick Conlon is a  licensed professional engineer with 20 years of high-profile structural engineering experience, holding engineering licenses in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and Massachusetts.

The seminar is approved by the American Institute of Architects for 6.5 HSW Learning Units.

Cost of the seminar is $279 including a continental breakfast and seminar manual.
