The Franklin Regional Council of Governments and the Berkshire Regional Planning Commission will hold a Public Information Session on the proposed State legislation to establish a Special Designation for the region on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the lodge at the Berkshire East Ski Resort, 66 Thunder Mountain Road, Charlemont, MA. 

This legislation was filed in January 2017 by the legislators that represent the towns in the region, based on the input received from 19 of the 21 towns. The legislation was drafted in 2016 in accordance with the goals and objectives established by the Mohawk Trail Woodlands Partnership Advisory Committee and contained in the MTWP Plan. 

This will be an opportunity to learn the details of the legislation, discuss next steps and to ask questions.
