Penn State Extension will hold two one-hour Raising Wild Kids webinars on  May 9th at noon and 7 p.m.

The need to develop youth that understand and care about forests and the natural world has never been greater. The very future of the natural world rests in our ability to do this, and it can help ensure they pass along a stewardship ethic to their descendants.

These webinars, presented by Sanford “Sandy” Smith, Natural Resources and Youth Extension Specialist, Penn State Department of Ecosystem Science and Management, will explore the importance of this mission and recommended methods and techniques for raising “wild” kids. Lessons from the field can get you started in a positive direction that fits you and the youth you are working with. The sharing of experience among participants that have done this will also be encouraged during these interactive webinars.

These webinars have been approved for 1.0 Society of American Foresters CFE credit, Category 1-CF.
