Penn State Extension will hold two one-hour Threatened & Endangered Species and the Private Landowner webinars on December 12th at noon and 7 p.m.
In these webinars, Margaret Brittingham, Professor of Wildlife Resources at Penn State will provide an overview of the Endangered Species Act (ESA), differences between federal and state listing, regulations and permitting, and steps to go through to determine whether a listed species is present on your forest land. She will also discuss state and federally listed species you might find on Pennsylvania forest lands, and steps to ensure protection of endangered species and their habitats while actively managing your land.
