Wood Chipper Operation & Safety Training

The Bay State Roads Program will hold a Wood Chipper Operations & Safety workshop at the Whately Town Hall on June 1st from 7:30 am to 2:30 p.m.

Chipper operator safety depends on the ability to properly maintain and operate equipment, to help avoid serious injury or death.

This program, taught by Mike St. Peter of Safety Services for Forest Industries, will improve your safety skills and knowledge while operating a chipper.  Hands on training will be provided.

Anyone who uses a Chipper in their daily/occasional work to maintain property, do storm damage cleanup, right-of-way clearing, etc. can benefit from this workshop.

Participants must bring the following:  PPE – Safety helmet, eye & ear protection.
