Deadline for HeatSmart Program September 15th

The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) and the Department of Energy Resources (DOER) are seeking proposals from Massachusetts cities and towns interested in participating in the HeatSmart Massachusetts pilot. This is a perfect program for a forested community to collectively lower heating costs by using modern wood heat. Through the program, installers offer reduced costs and additional rebates are available from MassCEC.

“HeatSmart Mass is a community-based outreach and education program that will encourage clean heating and cooling technologies that include air-source heat pumps, ground-source heat pumps, central biomass heating, and solar hot water. The pilot aims to help drive down the installation cost through a group purchasing model.”

  • Community RFP: Through this RFP, MassCEC and DOER will select up to four communities (or groups of communities) to participate in the HeatSmart Massachusetts pilot. DEADLINE to apply is September 15th 2017.
  • Technical Consultant RFP: Through this RFP, MassCEC and DOER will select up to six technical consultants to participate in the HeatSmart Massachusetts pilot.

All inquiries related to HeatSmart Mass should be submitted by email to HeatSmartMass@masscec.com.
