Housatonic Heritage will hold an American Chestnuts, Lost & Found Walk on September 17th from 1:30 – 2:30 pm at Great Mountain Forest in Falls Village, CT.
Woods Sinclair and friends will lead this talk and walk at a 2-acre American chestnut orchard.
Participants will learn of the dramatic sudden loss of this major tree and the ecological impact on our forests. They will also learn about The American Chestnut Foundation‘s efforts to restore this iconic tree to our landscapes.
