Vermont Woodlands Association and Women and Our Woods will hold a Basic Chainsaw Safety Workshop for Women in Mendon, VT on Saturday, November 16th from 8 am to 3:30 pm
This women-led chainsaw safety training designed to help you build confidence in using a chainsaw, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to improve your skills.
The workshop, will be led by experienced instructors from Women’s Tree Climbing Workshop®, L3C, and cover the fundamentals of safe chainsaw operation, maintenance, and essential safety practices.
The workshop will focus on safety and skill-building, ensuring that participants are comfortable using a chainsaw for smaller-scale tasks like cutting up firewood, trail clearing and pruning.
Please note: This training will not include tree felling.
What You’ll Learn:
- Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Chainsaw anatomy, safety features, and basic maintenance
- Safe cutting techniques and body positioning
