Chapter 132 workshop

The Department of Conservation & Recreation”s Service Forestry Program will hold 10 Chapter 132 workshops for licensed timber harvesters between June 3^rd and June 27^th.  The workshops will provide training in the Forest Cutting Practices regulations under Chapter 132 that is required for harvesters to maintain their licenses.

Each workshop will have review the Chapter 132 Rules & Regulations and provide updates

A Chapter 132 workshop will be held at the Bidwell House Museum in Monterey on June 27^th from 1 to 4 pm.

This workshop will provide an update on Chapter 132 regulations and forestry BMPs, and presentations on Forest Carbon Dynamics (Bill VanDoren, DCR Management Forestry), Invasive Plant Identification and Control Strategies (Jess Toro, Native Habitat Restoration LLC), and a review of the proposed ash harvest on property due to presence of Emerald Ash Borers.
