The Department of Conservation & Recreation’s Service Forestry Program will hold a workshop for licensed timber harvesters on Chapter 132 Forest Cutting Practices regulations at DCR’s Division of Water Supply Protection in West Boylston on June 13th from 12:30 to 3:30 pm.
Licensed harvesters are required to take 9 hours of continuing education every three years to maintain their license, including 3 hours on Massachusetts forestry laws and regulations. Attending one of the DCR workshops will meet the 3 hour forestry laws and regulations requirement.
The workshop will include an Asian long-horned beetle and Forest Health update, a review of NHESP regulations, and a review of Chapter 132 requirements.
