Chapter 132 Workshop for Licensed Harvesters

The Department of Conservation & Recreation’s Service Forestry Program will hold a workshop for licensed timber harvesters on Chapter 132 Forest Cutting Practices regulations at the Athol Public Library on June 18^th from 1 to 4 pm.

Licensed harvesters are required to take 9 hours of continuing education every three years to maintain their license, including 3 hours on Massachusetts forestry laws and regulations.  Attending one of the DCR workshops will meet the 3 hour forestry laws and regulations requirement.

The workshop will include a Chapter 132 review with case studies and a red oak silviculture discussion
