What methods do you rely on to locate property lines when planning and preparing for a timber harvest? How do you “read” blazes? What is angle of declination?

UNH Extension and New Hampshire Timberland Owners Association will hold a Deed Research and the Tools for Property Line Location workshop at Fox State Forest in Hillsboro, NH on November 3rd from 9 am to 2 pm.

Come and learn about the pros and cons of using phone apps, town tax maps, and “word of mouth”. Join state and private professionals as they inform you about the ways to avoid misinterpretation of boundary line locations in the field, on deeds, maps, surveys, and the subsequent liability you may be responsible for if something goes wrong.

Follow a recommended decision tree to figure out the resources you need, where to find them, and when you should ask for help.

Cost of this workshop is $45 for NHTOA members, $90 for non members.
