The Pennsylvania Forests Web Seminar Center will hold two one-hour Finding Markets for Goods from the Woods webinars on June 11th at noon and 7 p.m.

These webinars, presented by Tracey Coulter, Agroforestry Program Coordinator, PA DCNR; and Leslie Horner, Forest Stewardship Program Associate, Center for Private Forests at Penn State, will highlight several existing small businesses which sell forest-grown and harvested goods.

The case studies will include a cooperative model for woodland enterprises, examples of a range of value-added non-timber forest products, and other opportunities for agroforestry and use of low value wood. Speakers will share strategies for tapping into existing markets as well as considering some markets which are emerging.

These webinars will also discuss product labeling to highlight good stewardship practices, which would present a marketing advantage in reaching some customers.
