THESE TWO WEBINARS HAVE BEEN POSTPONED

Penn State Extension will hold two one-hour webinars on Finding Markets for Goods from the Woods at noon and 7 p.m. on December 11th

This webinar features an in-depth look at business models and marketing for forest-grown and harvested goods, including a variety of non-timber forest products.

Participants will learn about the Pennsylvania Certified Organic (PCO) certification program called PCO Forest Grown Verification, which provides a third-party verification that specific products are grown and harvested in a sustainable manner, thereby offering a marketing advantage.

The webinars, presented by Tess Weigand, Coordinator and Inspector, PCO Forest Grown Verification Program Coordinator, and Leslie Horner, Forest Stewardship Program Associate at Penn State, will review the paperwork, process, fees and opportunities of the PCO program. Several examples of large-scale cooperative buying and marketing will also be highlighted.
