UNH Cooperative Extension will hold an one-hour Forest Carbon Dynamics webinar on June 12th from 3 to 4 pm.

The University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension is holding a Forest Carbon Webinar series in June that will focus on forest carbon dynamics and carbon markets. The series will provide an overview of the dynamics of forest carbon sequestration and storage and how forest management affects these processes. It will also discuss how carbon markets functions, their accounting and the methodology for calculating credits.

The series will present a brief overview of general principles of managing for wildlife habitat and forest carbon. The series will conclude with the anatomy of carbon offset projects, how deals are structured and the process for bringing projects to the market.

In the first webinar in the series, Paul Catanzaro, Extension Associate Professor at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, will provide a one hour discussion on the dynamics of forest carbon sequestration and storage and how forest management affects these processes.
