Forest Cutting Practices Workshop for Licensed Harvesters

The Department of Conservation & Recreation will hold a Forest Cutting Practices workshop for licensed timber harvesters at the Pepperell Library on Main Street in Pepperell on June 11^th from 2 to 5 p.m.

The workshop will include a review of the rules and regulations governing timber harvesting under MGL Chapter 132, the Forest Cutting Practices Act, and the use of BMPs in harvesting, as well as an update on Forest Health and the Natural Heritage Program.

This workshop will meet the requirement that harvesters must take a 3-hour refresher on Massachusetts forestry laws and regulations at least once every 3 years.
