Forest Health Walk

DCR will hold a Forest Health Walk at Purgatory Chasm State Reservation in Sutton on Friday June 6^th from 9 to 11am.

Forest Health Specialist Danielle Johnson will lead a walk and talk along Charley’s Loop focusing on forest health issues affecting the Chasm. Issues to include hemlock woolly adelgid, elongate hemlock scale, and spongy moth among other pests, as well as the unique obstacles present forest health activities like treatments and hazardous tree removals.

Participants should dress for the weather and take precaution against ticks.
