Forest Health Walk

DCR will hold a Forest Health Walk at Mohawk Trail State Forest in Charlemont on Friday June 13^th from 9 to11am

Forest Health Specialist Eric Peterson will lead this hike and discuss the different pests and pathogens affecting the forests of the Commonwealth. He will discuss beech leaf disease, emerald ash borer, white pine decline, and a myriad of other topics.

Be aware, the hike involves significant elevation gain and can be moderately difficult at points

Participants should dress for the weather and take precaution against ticks.
