UNH Cooperative Extension will hold a Forestry Fundamentals workshop at the Conservation Center in Concord, NH on June 16th from 6 – 7:30 pm.

This workshop by UNH Forestry Field Specialist Dode Gladders, will provide participants a better understanding of forest management and appropriate applications of silviculture.

The workshop will include discussion on historical events, current status of New Hampshire forests, Silvicultural principles of New England, Forest types, landowner goals and objectives, tree growth/maturity/vigor, forest regeneration, wildlife habitat, harvesting systems, and loggers’ function in silviculture.

Cost of this workshop is $15 for NHTOA members, $25 for non-members. (A light dinner will be provided.)
