Hemlock Wooly Adelgid & Hemlock Scale Insecticide Treatments workshops

UNH Extension will hold two two-hour Hemlock Wooly Adelgid & Hemlock Scale Insecticide Treatments workshop on Monday August 23^rd at the Zimmerman House at the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester, NH

These workshops are designed for licensed pesticide applicators interested in learning more about insecticide treatments to treat for both hemlock wooly adelgid, and elongate hemlock scale.

Session 1:  10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Session 2:  1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

These two-hour long sessions will be held outside and will include a review of hemlock wooly adelgid and elongate hemlock scale biology, best management practices, and treatment options.

In addition, Kyle Lombard, NH Division of Forests and Lands, Forest Health Program Coordinator, will demonstrate a variety of equipment that can be used for systemic treatments for both pests. This will include a discussion of insecticides recommended for hemlock wooly adelgid and elongate hemlock scale treatments.

Registration is required. Each two-hour session will be identical, please register for only one. Each session is limited to 20 participants. Additional information will be sent upon registration.

Commercial and private licensed applicators will receive two credits for attendance.
