Northern Woodlands Magazine and Long View Forest Management will hold an Intensive Forest Management Workshop, on Saturday, April 27th at the Post Family Woodlot in Chester, VT.

This workshop will demonstrate and discuss techniques promoted by the late Irwin Post to intensively manage young forest stands, as described in his final article for the magazine, “Beyond Hunter-Gatherer Forestry.”

Participants should expect extensive walking on rough terrain. Dress to be comfortable in cold weather outdoors. Activities will include using simple hand tools (provided). A brown bag lunch will be provided.

This event is made possible through support from the Irwin Post Speakers’ Fund, reflecting his legacy of sharing knowledge with others, and his devotion to quality forest management.
