Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary will hold a showing of The Lost Forests of New England on Friday, March 22nd, from 7 to 9 pm.
This movie is replete with stunning footage of our region’s rarely seen old-growth trees and tells the story of central New England’s old-growth forests: what they once were, what changes have taken place since European settlers arrived, and what our remnant old-growth stands look like today.
Speakers include:
- Bob Leverett – Co-Founder of The Native Tree Society;
- Ray Aselin – Naturalist and Film Maker;
- William Moomaw – Professor Emeritus of International Environmental Policy at Tufts University’s Fletcher School and Chairman of the Board Of Directors, Woods Hole Research Center
Registration is required. You can register online or call 413-584-3009 to register by phone.
Cost of the program is $6 for Mass Audubon members, $8 for non-members.
