The U S Forest Service’s Northern Research Station will hold a Planning for and Adapting to Changing Winters webinar on January 29th from 2 to 3 pm EST.

Despite the challenges that come with changing winters, there are ways to adapt moving forward. The speakers in this webinar will cover new resources, including technical guides, that will aid natural resources professionals planning harvests during winter.

This webinar is the third of a four-part Winter Timber Harvests in a Changing Environment webinar series, presented with the Northern Institute for Applied Climate Science (NIACS), and the Northeast and Northern Forest Climate Hubs.  On Thursdays between January 15th and February 5th, webinars will explore changing winter conditions and their consequences for timber harvesting in the Northeast and Upper Midwest.
