Massachusetts Project Learning Tree®  will hold a Environmental Education Workshop for Elementary Educators  on Wednesday, April 17th, at the Brookwood Community Farm Conference Building in Canton from 10 am to 2:30 pm.

This fun, hands-on facilitated workshop features the award-winning Project Learning Tree® (PLT) K-8 curriculum which will help educators engage elementary-age children with the natural world.  Students learn the content through active participation such as modeling, investigating, discussing, and presenting topics.  PLT activities incorporate science, social studies, language arts, and math. They are adaptable to a variety of situations.

Participants can try out and discuss activities with peers in a collegial setting and learn to apply them to their teaching situation.

The workshop is geared toward grades 1-5, but all educators are invited.

Cost of the workshop is $20 including the curriculum guide which is jam-packed with exciting, ready-to-use activities, as well as a Certificate of Completion, and handouts.

To register, contact Gini Traub, workshop facilitator, at  Gini.Traub@mass.gov or call 617/699-2387 cell, by April 10.
