Massachusetts Project Learning Tree will hold a workshop for K-8 elementary educators at the Newcomb Visitor Center at Borderland State Park in North Easton on Tuesday, July 16th, from 10 am to 2:30 pm.

The award-winning Project Learning Tree® (PLT) K-8 curriculum will help teachers engage elementary-age children with the natural world.Students learn the content through active participation such as modeling, investigating, discussing, and presenting topics.  Activities incorporate science, social studies, language arts, and math. They are adaptable to a variety of situations.

Participants at the workshop can try out and discuss activities with peers in a collegial setting to apply them to their teaching situation. While the workshop is geared to grades 3 to 5, anyone who wants to bring the environment into their work with children are encouraged to attend.

Cost of the workshop is $20 including the curriculum guide.

For information or to register, call Gini Traub at (617) 699-2387 or email Gini.Traub@mass.gov by July 9th.
