Street Tree Essentials workshop

The UMass Transportation Center will hold a Street Tree Essentials workshop at the Chicopee Public Library on Front Street in Chicopee on June 22^nd from 8:30 am to 3 pm.

This training will explain the variety of factors involved with planning, selecting, caring for and protecting street trees.

Participants will learn the basics about which types of trees will make the best street trees, how to determine placement and properly plant the trees, how to maintain and care for the trees, tree protection during construction, and how to identify and manage risk trees.

*This training series qualifies for International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) CEUs.  Your ISA certification number MUST be provided to the training coordinator to receive the CEUs.

Cost of this workshop is $75 for municipal employees – $150 for private sector employees.
