Wood Turtles spend considerable time in woodlands and riparian areas, depending on the connectivity of these areas for survival. As a result, this species is an ambassador for riparian conservation and habitat connectivity.

Vermont Woodlands Association will hold a The Fascinating Lives of Wood Turtles webinar on Monday, June 17th at 7 pm.

Knowing how to identify their habitat and blend Wood Turtle management into working landscapes are important steps to protecting this charismatic species.

Kiley Briggs, Director of Conservation for the Orianne Society, will present this webinar and discuss Wood Turtle ecology, threats to their habitat, and steps landowners and land stewards can take to protect this important species.
