The Maine Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association is holding a Timber Stand Improvement Projects: Increasing Value and Health in your Woodlot webinar on February 8th from 6 – 7:30 pm.

This webinar will show hands-on work you can do to increase the health, wildlife habitat, and financial value in your woodland. The event will feature a video of Forester Mike Richard and Land Steward Tim Libby demonstrating and discussing pre-commercial thinning techniques, followed by a live discussion and Q&A.

They will talk about working with a forester to set up a TSI project, funding opportunities that can help defray some of your initial investment, and dive into some of the specifics of carrying out TSI work safely and efficiently

Cost of the workshop is $5 for MOFGA members, $10 non-members.
