Have you ever thought about the role that trees play in the life of bees?

The Greenfield Tree Committee is hosting a free talk by UMass scientist Joan Milam on Trees & Their Roles in the Life of Native Bees on Wednesday, February 5th at 7 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Greenfield.

Come learn more about bees and their relationships with trees and what you can do to support native pollinators. You can also learn more about tree planting initiatives in Greenfield, and can sign up to be a volunteer tree steward or to get a free tree for your yard.

Franklin Land Trust is partnering with the Greenfield Tree Committee, the City of Greenfield, the MA Department of Conservation and Recreation, and the U.S Forest Service to plant 800 trees along city streets in Greenfield by 2021. Email info@franklinlandtrust.org to get involved!
