Harvard Forest will hold a free Trees Telling STEM Stories Online Workshop for Teachers on August 26th from 10 am to 4 pm.
This virtual workshop led by Harvard University and Boston University educators and scientists will introduce a Harvard Forest research and social media initiative about trees’ changing environments.
In this workshop, participants will learn and practice new ways to teach about trees’ growth, ecosystem benefits, and climate dynamics, using real-time, sensor-based STEM data (no tech/data experience necessary) from the nation’s first network of tweeting trees.
5 PDPs available to Massachusetts teachers. A limited number of post-workshop stipends are available.
