Thinking about making improvements to your woodlot?  Join NHTOA for a unique perspective on utilizing farm tractors for forestry applications.

This workshop, presented by Jon Martin of Martin Forest Consulting and Steve Snow of Snow Conservation Group, will focus on safe and efficient use of  farm tractors to skid logs, utilization of winching to remove hazard trees, and techniques to avoid damage to residual trees.

In addition, forestry specialists will discuss aspects of timber stand improvement, crop tree identification, and safe and productive timber falling techniques. There will be demonstrations of current tools for timber stand improvement as well as utilizing gasoline powered portable winch in the forest.

Cost for the workshop is $15 for NHTOA members, $30 for non-members.
