Wood residues are low-value woody materials that are often a byproduct of town utility or roadway maintenance or sawmill operations and often have low value in the current marketplace.

The Woodlands Partnership of Northwest Massachusetts will host a Waste or Resource? A Discussion on Wood Residues webinar on February 2nd from Noon to 1:30 pm.

Ben Kargère of Williams College will discuss the findings of his study of how wood residues are being handled in the Northwest Massachusetts region.

Other participants in this discussion will be Sean Mahoney of the Department of Conservation and Recreation, Emily Boss of the Massachusetts Woodlands Institute, Jay Healy of Hall Tavern Farm, and Andre Strong Bear Heart Gaines, Jr., a citizen of the Nipmuc people.
