Are you interested in learning how to identify wildlife tracks and signs? Have you ever been curious about becoming certified in Wildlife Track and Sign?
UNH Extension will hold a Wildlife Track & Sign Certification 2024 workshop at the Merrimack River Outdoor Education & Conservation Area in Concord, NH. on October 23rd from 8 am – 5 pm
Join us for this unique opportunity – part workshop, part certification – led by Daniel Hansche of Spur Wander and Tracker Certification at the Merrimack River Outdoor Education & Conservation Area in Concord. All experience levels are welcome.
Attendees will expand their skills in identifying and interpreting the tracks and signs of New England with the opportunity to become certified. Building upon the experience as we move along the landscape, questions will be asked as they are found in the field, participants will answer the questions, and then we will discuss each one while sharing features that can be used to distinguish one species’ tracks and signs from another. While we will focus heavily on learning, participants scoring a 69% or higher will earn an internationally recognized certification through CyberTracker Conservation.
What to Bring: This training will be held entirely outdoors, so come prepared and dressed for the weather. Bring your own lunch, snacks, and plenty of water.
Registration is required. A fee is charged for this Extension program to cover costs. A limited number of scholarships are available to individuals unable to pay.
Cost of this workshop is $135 per person.
