The Massachusetts Wood Producers Council will hold its Winter Meeting at the Bluebonnet Restaurant in Northampton on Thursday, March 5th, from 4:30 to 9 p.m, sponsored by CJ Logging Equipment.

The meeting will feature a presentation about a new Climate Forestry Grant Program by The Nature Conservancy and American Forest Foundation, and a discussion of legal issues around timber harvesting and recent problems encountered.

The meeting will also include updates on DCR forest management and service forestry, pending legislation, and market updates.

This year’s meeting will feature a raffle to benefit logger Jimmy Hillock who was injured earlier this winter in a logging accident. Please consider donating items to the raffle to help him out!

Cost of the meeting is $40 for Forest Alliance members, $50 for non-members. Please register by March 4.
