Fred has been involved in Forest Policy for most of his 42 years in the Massachusetts Forest Industry, serving on The State Forestry Committee, The DCR Forest Futures Visioning Committee, the Forester Licensing Committee, the Chapter 61 Legislative Committee, and The Commonwealth Quality Program. Formerly a Town Assessor and Planning Board chair, Fred is a long term member of the Massachusetts Farm Bureau.
Fred’s forest-based business utilizes timber harvested from his own professionally and sustainably managed forests, marketing products and building barns and homes using the lumber from his sawmill. Fred actively manages every stage of the business.
