The Connecticut Chapter of the American Chestnut Foundation will hold an American Chestnuts: Lost & Found Walk at a 300 acre American Chestnut orchard in Falls Village, CT on September 18th from 1:30 to 2:30 pm

Woods Sinclair and friends will lead the talk and walk and discuss the dramatic sudden loss of this major species which was 40 percent of Connecticut’s forest,  the ecological impact, and The American Chestnut Foundation‘s efforts to restore this iconic tree to our landscapes.

Directions:     From Falls Village, drive north on Route 7. At intersection of Rts 7 and 63, take Barnes Road to its end. Turn right on Under Mountain Road. The orchard is approximately 3 miles on the left–across from 392 Under Mountain Rd.
