A Forest Products Markets and Supply Chain – Where Are We workshop will be held at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, ME on May 19th from 1 to 3 pm.

Markets for forest products are always evolving, and this is a dynamic time in the forest products industry. Forest economist Eric Kingsley of Innovative Natural Resource Solutions, LLC, will give an overview of markets for forest products in the Northeast, including pulp and paper, lumber, and biomass.

There will also be a discussion of emerging products that are close to becoming real – wood-based insulation, biochar, liquid biofuels, cross-laminated timber, and more.

Of course, markets need a strong supply chain, and Eric will also cover how landowners, loggers, and truckers are faring in today’s market, and what can be done to secure the supply chain going forward.
