The Rhode Island Resource Conservation & Development Council will hold a Reading the Forested Landscape webinar with ecologist Tom Wessels on Saturday, January 27th from 9 to 10 am.
Tom Wessels is a terrestrial ecologist and author of Reading the Forested Landscape, Forest Forensics, The Granite Landscape, and New England’s Roadside Ecology.
Using photographs submitted by participants, Wessels will demonstrate his methods for reading forested landscapes the way we might solve a mystery.
If you have pictures of interesting things you have encountered in the woods, such as growth patterns, evidence of forest disturbance or unique geological features, submit them to be analyzed during the webinar. Send photos to rircd2282@gmail.com
