Are you a current or aspiring woodland owner? Do you have a farm tractor that you are thinking about using in the woods? While tractors have their limitations, when equipped properly tractors can play an important role in working in your woodlot.
New Hampshire Timberland Owners Association will hold a Logging with Farm Tractors workshop in Bridgewater, NH on June 8th from 8 am to noon.
This “in action” workshop will show ways you can safely and productively use a farm tractor as a tool in forestry. This workshop will focus on tractor applications, matching tractor size with specific tasks, safety features and practices, attachments, and basic winching and log skidding techniques.
Participants can meet other woodland owners and share your experiences while learning from demonstrations and discussions led by a group of experienced instructors.
Space: Limited to 20 participants, pre-registration required.
What to bring: Water, snacks, and sturdy footwear.

Directions: From the south, take Rt. 104 to River Rd and we are 4.5 miles up on the left. Look for the Tree Farm sign. At the top of the hill go right (the houses on the left are neighbors) and keep going right till you see our houses and the barn.
