The U S Forest Service will hold an Assisted Migration 101 — Seed Source Considerations webinar on September 27th from 1 to 2 pm EDT.
In this webinar, Andy Bower from the Forest Service and Katie Frerker from the Northern Institute of Applied Climate Science will discuss some basic concepts on local adaptation in trees, define the 3 types of assisted migration along with benefits and risks.
They will also discuss how to mitigate the risks, and the decision support tools that are available for making assisted migration decisions.
