UVM Extension and Middlebory College will host the 2025 Northeastern Old Growth Conference in person and virtual at Middlebury College’s Bread Loaf Campus in Ripton, Vermont from Wednesday, September 17th to Saturday, September 20th

This national gathering brings together researchers, conservationists, policy makers, health professionals, and lovers of wild nature to share knowledge and perspectives on old-growth ecosystems. This year’s theme reflects the urgency of protecting wildlands and old-growth forests for biodiversity, climate resilience, and human well-being.
