Climate Smart Wood Group

The Climate Smart Wood Group is a unique coalition of environmental, scientific, green building, forestry, and forest industry leaders committed to helping building professionals source wood that is truly “climate smart.” We do this by promoting the use of and providing guidance on the procurement of salvaged, reclaimed and recycled wood products as well as “virgin” wood from climate-smart forestry operations.

The Climate Smart Wood Group will hold an Introduction to Climate Smart Wood & Climate Smart Forestry webinar on January 28th at 3 pm ET.

This webinar, presented by Jason Grant from World Wildlife Fund and Seth Zuckerman fro the Northwest Natural Resource Groug,  will cover the origins, current resources, and future objectives of the Climate Smart Wood Group (CSWG).

It will provide a high level overview of CSWG’s definitions of climate-smart wood and climate-smart forestry (CSF), followed by a deeper dive into Northwest Natural Resource Group’s work promoting CSF among landowners in western Washington.
