Vermont Land Trust will hold a Baird Farm Maple Tour at Baird Farm in Chittenden, VT on May 21st from 4 to 6 pm ET.
Baird Farm is a certified organic maple operation in Chittenden, producing small-batch syrup and maple products from more than 14,000 tapped trees.
The 585-acre farm has been in the Baird family for four generations and is now led by Bonnie and Bob Baird, with Jenna Baird and Jacob Powsner managing the maple enterprise.
Their sugarbush is guided by a forest management plan that supports long-term tree health and biodiversity. Using reverse osmosis to reduce fuel use and organic practices throughout production, they pair careful stewardship with education, tours, and a growing direct-to-consumer market.
