This year, the Nature Conservancy and the Massachusetts Forest Alliance have teamed up to develop a one-hour webinar for landowners interested in learning more about the steps involved in a sustainable timber harvest.
Our speakers, Massachusetts foresters Charlie Thompson and Fred Heyes, who have both worked in the forest industry as consulting foresters and as educators, will discuss multiple topics including landowner concerns, equipment commonly used, and the reasons a landowner might choose to harvest such as for firewood or to attract migratory bird species.
