The USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service will hold a Forestland Soil Health – Great Lakes and Northeastern U.S. webinar on Tuesday, November 17th from 2 to 3:30 pm EST.
This webinar seeks to support participants as they evaluate and manage soil health as a component of conservation planning in working forestland settings.
The webinar presented by forester Tom Sauer will build knowledge and skills to evaluate soil health at forest and woodland agricultural sites, understand key soil health indicators, identify soil health resource concerns using the NRCS Forestland In-Field Soil Health Assessment (FIFSHA), and utilize NRCS conservation practices to address resource concerns and improve soil health in forested landscapes.
