Non-native upland invasive plants pose a serious threat to forest productivity and natural environments in New Hampshire.

UNH Extension will hold the 2024 New Hampshire Invasives Academy: Managing in the Face of Upland Invasive Plants workshop on June 6th from 8 am to 4 pm at the North Country Resource Center in Lancaster, NH.

This workshop, designed for foresters, natural resource professionals, licensed pesticide applicators, and landowners, will provide participants with a foundation on managing invasive species in New Hampshire including principles of weed ecology, wildlife habitat considerations, integrated vegetation management, project planning strategies, and available tools and resources.

Strategies for managing glossy buckthorn and Japanese knotweed using an integrated vegetation management approach will be emphasized during this workshop.

Cost of this workshop is $40 per person including lunch
