Non-native upland invasive plants pose a serious threat to forest productivity and natural environments in New Hampshire.
UNH Extension will hold the 2025 NH Invasives Academy: Managing in the Face of Upland Invasive Plants at Poverty Lane Orchards in Lebanon, NH on July 24th from 8 am to 3:45 pm.This workshop, designed for foresters, natural resource professionals, licensed pesticide applicators, and landowners, will provide participants with a foundation for managing invasive species in New
Hampshire, including principles of weed ecology, wildlife habitat considerations, integrated vegetation management, project planning strategies, and available tools and resources.
Strategies for managing a variety of nuisance upland invasives plant species using and integrated vegetation management approach will be emphasized during this workshop through both lecture and field components.
