The Massachusetts Wood Producers Council’s Spring Meeting will be held on Thursday, April 9, at the Bluebonnet Diner & Banquet Hall in Northampton.
The meeting is sponsored by CJ Logging Equipment.
The meeting will begin with registration and social time at 4 pm. The program starts at 5, with the Bluebonnet’s famous buffet dinner at 5:30 pm. The meeting resumes after dinner and ends at 8 pm.
The cost to attend the meeting is $40 for current MFA members and their guests, and $50 for non-members. Loggers, foresters, landowners, sawmill operators, wood heat companies, wood fuel suppliers, other interested parties, and MFA members are all welcome.
Scheduled speakers include:
Jeff Benjamin — Professional Logging Contractors of the Northeast — on the Master Logger program and other news.
Mike Barry — Mass DCR, –on DCR’s service forestry and expanded C-SIP program.
Tom Brulé — Mass DCR — on management forestry on state lands.
Chris Egan — MFA Executive Director — with a legislative/regulatory update.

This program has been approved for 2.5 Mass Forester Licensing credits in Category I and 2.5 Continuing Education credits for Mass Timber Harvesters. SAF CFEs, 1.0 Connecticut Forester CEUs, and 2.0 SAF CFEs in Category I.
